soup-wiki, so far the noodles
MattisManzel:
Ok, I have half-ways finished implementing functions I made up for the wikis in the wiki-net over the recent years here in the soup-wiki. I will now turn to implement the new soup via yahoo pipes I made up here during the two past weeks to a bunch of other wiki, starting with the [[‘wiki-net’?]]. A decent fun summer working session that was! Thanks to everybody who made this possible for me.
I ended up with two alternatives to the new soup:
1.) The soup via friendfeed which looks nice but has no real advantages to the other two soups. I will likely drop it in the other wikis.
2.) The soup via soup.io which had been in use as our soup before. Much to my delight soup.io updates again after its “Dornröschenschlaf” and it continues to update, hooray! But the old soup is remarkably slower than the new one: Updates took ~ nine hours before, now via yahoo pipes they take ~ half an hour. Still soup.io has endless scrolling, that is you can see the complete history of the soup on soup - soup-wiki without a further click just by hitting the end of the page. I like that and will therefore keep the soups via soup.io in the other wikis.
There’s to learn how to remove the silly doubling of text in numerous feeds that come directly from friendfeed now. Before a next step of aggregation in soup.io removed the doubling. It should be possible to remove via yahoo pipes. Gimme a little time to find out, please.
